Speed Up Your Computer by Purging Files

A major cause of a widely used computer in the delay time is the accumulation of files on your hard drive. Temporary files, help files left behind after the uninstall files to duplicate links when programs are updated or reinstalled, there are many useless files clogging your hard drive. Follow these simple tips to speed up your computer files by purging.
Cleaning the Temp folder:
The Temp folder on your hard drive (location: C: / Windows / Temp) is where all temporary files used by programs or stored by your browser. Because they use a single file, you can safely delete any file.
It can be anywhere from a few to very many files in the folder. Select them all and press the Delete key on your keyboard or right click on any file and select Delete
Search for *. tmp:
In addition to the Temp directory, temporary files are stored, sometimes in other places on your hard drive, such as software files used for installation. For these files, go to the Start menu and select Search. Select all files and folders and type in the “All or part of file” box: *. tmp and click Find. If the search is complete, select and delete files all.tmp.
Disk Cleanup
To get rid of your hard drive of all unnecessary, obsolete or duplicate files, run the Disk Cleanup tool by going to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools and select Disk Cleanup. The analysis takes a few minutes and you’ll be redirected to another window that shows you the options and files created.
Defragment your hard disk:
On top of cleaning your files, defragment your hard drive will optimize and speed of your hard drive the gaps left by clean previously deleted files. Use Disk Defragmenter:
• Go to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools and select defragment the disk.
• In the Windows Disk Defragmenter, select Defragment.
The process begins by analyzing the configuration file to the hard drive, then again compression adjacent fragmented files and move files into the empty space on the disk and defragment them.
It is suggested that, while using the Disk Defragmenter, all other programs are closed and you leave your computer. While the process for several hours on a computer that is not only fragmented, it also proposed to run the defragmenter night.
