Robots – The Machines That Think and Work Like Humans
filed in techno on Oct.13, 2008
Robotics is used to perform acts that are considered very dangerous for humans or highly repetitive. A robot is a reprogrammable, multifunctional systems designed for handling materials, parts, tools or special devices through various programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks. Some places where robots are useful to the high temperatures, dangerous substances, working in inhuman conditions, and isolated areas. The robots are programmed using the concepts of artificial intelligence that will enable them to think and act like people.
Here are the typical characteristics of a robot:
a) a route pre-programmed robots that allow them to think like people. Even its shape is like humans, but robots are available in a wide variety of forms.
b) The robots are equipped with sensors that help the meaning of the environment within the plant and to interact with different things.
c) On the basis of their intelligence, the robots can make certain choices in the atmosphere are placed in.
d) The program robots to move in one or more axes of rotation. They have coordinated May skilful movements especially the hands.
Applications of robots
Robots can make bulk duplication jobs require speed, accuracy and reliability, better than humans. In some factories human labor is replaced by robots, leading to cheaper production of bulk commodities such as automobiles and electronics. Examples of robots in factories that are used:
1) The production of cars: In recent years, the car factories have been dominated by robots, more than any other industry. In some companies, you will find hundreds of robots working on the production lines fully automated with robot replace every ten workers in the man.
2) Welding: Perhaps the most popular application of robots in the welding industry. Robots can perform uniform high quality and quickly spot arc welding and laser welding.
3) spray paint: This is another area where robots are used. The robots are exempt from the dangerous man, but the skills jobs, increasing the uniformity and quality of work and cost savings.
4) Packaging: The robots are used for packaging of goods and products, and even loading them into vehicles for transport.
5) electronic goods: printed circuit boards are generally manufactured in large quantities, which are produced almost exclusively by the selection and place robots. These robots can insert and assemble thousands of pieces per hour at the date Outperform humans.
6) hazardous working conditions: There are many tasks for which humans have been replaced by robots, because of unsafe working conditions. These conditions can be very high temperatures, eg in foundries.
There are several types of robots used exclusively for various applications. They have different forms, depending on the nature of work to do. The preferred applications of the robot also decide if there is a fixed or mobile phone. In the future, the use of robots will be extended to man’s place in many other areas. The rate of unemployment than the use of robots is to create the ethical question of the industry and to justify.
